Yes I remember.. and I want my vid up... I think mighty's email ate it.. Grrr.

ANyway, yea i'm fine.. If I worred to much I never would of went.. remember it was a first expereince, and it hurt like hell.. And I really didn't want to have to hurt the poor Doctor.

The electric massage thing, was awsome... the tap tap taps to the spine.. seemed quarky but I'm sure they do something. and that thing where he has you all relaxed and says hows this feel? and before you can answer he twistes and pops your neck.. was just a bit unpleasent.. He won't fool me next time with the hows that feel bullshiet. lol

I feel a bit better anyway.

wtf, you made that look easy, you should have went ahead and done 350. You didn't even struggle on the low or high end of that rep. I was expecting you struggling, having the spotters look as if at any moment they needed to step in, but this vid.. OMG, you took it off, rep'd it, and threw it back on there.

Either way, you have made my day! You said you were going to do it, and you did it, and rather easy I might add. Great job!

If I only knew, I could of done it that easy I would of racked up 350... But with all the nagging injuryies, the time off... the near failure at 315 the other night (granted on the tail end of a chest workout). I just did not have the confidence.

Next time, I'll try to remember.. I'm the man.. I can do it.. Grrr... here I come.

Thanks for the NIpple bro.. Good words and good advice.

peace.

Here's a 355 pound failure... Oh after about a 5 minute rest.

http://mightysworld.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-145

Basically, I just totally lost concentration... didn't keep my body tight... DIdn't bring my elbows in, didn't utilize my lats at all, and it showed with no power on the low end what so ever.

yes, could tell your form was a little off. You didn't have your shoulders blades tucked in, chest poked out. It probably felt like you were trying to bench it "flat".

I might try and see if our ol' little camera will do a vid. I can get one of the guys to take a 5 or 10 sec. vid of me tomorrow morning (my chest day).

But know that we know you can already probably do 350, next attempt will be 360! <-- that's right, I said it.

I've just signed up with John Pinder... I'm waiting for him to claim the money and work everything out.. he's already been watching me fairly closely for the last month or more.. a big reason why I had good form on that max lift.

So look for a detailed journal of him shaping me and bringing me to a 405 pound bench in what I estimate to be a fairly quick clip.

Now I just sit and wait for the payment to get through, and the innitial conversations and consultation to take place.. and the training to begin... In the mean time, I'm just trying to heal up a bit more.

This should be a learning expereince.

let's analyze that.. He said "..it is a ride FROM hell", so it must be Good! Now if it was a ride TO hell, then we may need to ask for more details.

I have no doubt you can do it. You have the drive and determination to make things happen. You understand it takes times, and the work involved.

..now about that 360 lb. try

Argghh... That be what I'm hoping for.. ArrRRghh!!

I start monday... (muahahahah)

--

New play toys...

I got Rubber bands..

2 x red
2 x greens
2 x blues
2 x blacks.. (these are scary

Here's a bunch of articles related to training with bands.. Not sure how good they are, I just googled them, but it should be a good read for those that are new to the concept.

http://www.strengthcats.com/Bands-In...on-Central.htm

Here is a link to where you can get bands... and what they look like.

http://www.prowriststraps.com/bands_...t_lifting_band

--

Fractional plate set (so I can do smaller increases of weight more often if need be)

--

3 Hand grippers (100, 150, 200) to work on grip and toughen up hands at work... although the 100 is to easy, and I can only do a few with the 200... I should of got 150, 200, and 250.. ohwell.

--

Boards...

Since my gym does not have a power rack.. John ordered me to get some boards made this weekend.. So i already ordered the lumber and will be picking it up today.. all I need to do is screw them together.

I will make the following:

a 2 board (4")
a 3 board (6")
a 4 board (8")
and a 5 board (10")

Here's a decent article on what boards are all about and how to make them...

http://www.criticalbench.com/board-press.htm

--

More good news... John wants to keep me on a twice a week chest routine, seeing as I appear to have really responded to it the last 2 months. Can't wait to see how it breaks down.

--

Spent a half hour at the gym last night taking pictures of the gym equipment, so John can figure out how best to torture me.

--

I'm starting a new journal in the regular journal section.. My journal has been more about training lately then gear, and it's think that's probably a better way to look at it anyway... I'll still make comments from time to time, or if anyone wants to pm me about what I'm up to that's fine.

But as for what I poked yesterday, how it felt, whether I'm sore or not.. or how mentally the whole expereince is.. well I'm over all that, and it's gotten a bit boring.. so there ain't much point to chronicle it anymore is there?

Due to Poob's being sick, I will be lifting for him over the next three days.

The part of Poobah will be played by hrpiii.

Today Poob's (I'll) be working on back/bi's.

Chin-ups
Wide grip lat pulldowns
narrow grip pulldowns
deadlift
db rows
bb rows or cable rows
maybe some reverse cable flys

BB curls
cable curls
standing db hammer curls
reverse curls with ez bar

and if I'm feeling great, throw in some situps and maybe a little cardio on the stationary bike.

How am I doing Poob's You better get over that cold soon, Legs are tomorrow!!

lol.. thanks I needed that.

I slept all freakin day yesterday... still sick this morning, but I'm at work. Probably don't have the lungs or the throat for a leg day... but I may be good enough for a chest routine.

Still sucks to be sick so much though.

You are welcome. I didn't want to see you lose any strength while being under the weather, so I volunteered to step up and play my part. You have been pushing yourself pretty hard, a couple days off won't kill you, may be just the recharging you will need to for your up coming regime.

Been getting sick to much though.. I really am worried that something is slowly eating away at me.. the god damn rotten burps and on again off again diarhea never stops... and it was bad this weekend. I'm worried I have a alcer that's taking it out of me and weekening my immune system.

Then again, Jessica, and the little rug rats have all been getting sicker then what seems usual.. so perhaps it's just a really bad cold and flu season.. but that still don't explain, my sore stomach, and constant bouts of diarhea and general ill health of late... and lets not forget the burps that empty out rooms.
