Mindfreak -
I think you forgot to list the unemployment rates during the last democractic presidency, particularly the second term...probably just an oversight.

1993 6.9
1994 6.1
1995 5.6
1996 5.4
1997 4.9
1998 4.5
1999 4.2
2000 4.0

Average 1993-2000 5.20%
2001-present 5.26%
Very similar

Same goes for inflation rate...the rates during the terms of Bush and Clinton are very similar.

93 2.96
94 2.61
95 2.81
96 2.93
97 2.34
98 1.55
99 2.19
00 3.38

01 2.83
02 1.59
03 2.27
04 2.68
05 3.39
06 3.24
07 2.85
08 4.08 - so far

Inflation rate average from 2001-2008 2.87%
Inflation rate average from 1993-2000 2.60% - very similar, but if we are keeping score, then I guess there is a winner...less is best in this case.

I have little feeling for either candidate, but no one here is likely to be swayed either way by your disparaging comments about Obama and your careful selection of bits and pieces of the data to present here.

A change is necessary, whether that will be McCain or Obama is yet to be determined.
