Let's get this straight, the Congress passes legislation/bugets and the President, which ever party may hold the office, signs or vetos what is presented. For years the Republicans had the majority in the Congress and little was done to help the average citizen. Now the Dem's have a slight majority and have accomplished nothing of importance. Yet they all have fat salaries, pensions, and healthcare. I don't see anyone in the Government having hours cut, salaries decreased, being offered "buy outs", being laid off, as millions of tax paying citizens are. I'd love to see Hillary, Obama, or McCain on that show "30 days". Wonder how they would look at life if they worked for minimum wage, or were a coal miner, or bound to a wheel chair. Time we citizens started choosing politicians that work for us and not themselves!

this is a good post and very true except for the remark about the candidates and their earmarks. there is ALOT i disagree with mccain about, to be honest he was my last choice of all the republican candidates, but to be fair he has never taken an earmark in all his time in congress / senate. got to give him props for that.
