I would seek out another doctor myself. I was on estra-test for quite a while after my hysterectomy, my dose was higher on the test side. My doctor listens to me and works with me. I will not tolerate a doctor that doesn't.

You're doctor should really be willing to run a full blood panel to evaluate your hormones, and not just your test levels. You could possibly be having problems with other glands/hormones that are off kilter due to being perimenopausal.
