Question A Question About DOMS

If i'm having soreness in a muscle group, say legs on a thursday, when it comes time for me to workout a different muscle group, say chest/back on saturday, should i wait until i feel no soreness? does my body need time without any lifting until this is gone, or can i continue on with my routine?
