Another thing, do you guys get overly dependent on sleep aids? How often do you take them?

(I hope I'm not hijacking this thread by asking some of my own questions. If I am, let me know!)
Take them as often as you feel necessary, your body wont get dependent, but you might psychologically, meaning you might think you need it.

Valeriana officinalis (Valerian Root) is good, but look into:

Valeriana acutiloba (Rocky Mountain Valerian) - Stronger then officinalis

Pedicularis Densiflora (Indian Warrior) - The most potent species of Pedicularis(Relaxants/Sedatives).

Cypripedium pubescens (Lady's Slipper) - Stronger then Valerian, but not as much as Pedicularis Densiflora.

Passiflora incarnata (Passion Flower) - Gives you great relaxation and sedated feeling.

Great for Meditation and Deep Sleep.

Also, Calea zacatechichi (Dream Herb) is a highly vivid plant. It will give you some VERY vivid dreams if taken before bed. You can use it as a tea or smoke.

And what i mean by that, is with the use of sleep aides your still only getting like 2-3 hours of sleep....
Might be more of a serious issue
I disagree. I take a capsule or two every night simply to relax me and put me into a deep sleep. I don't have any sleeping problems, I just like to get to sleep fast and sleep deep, and vividly dream. There are many herbs out there that have sedative and relaxing effects, Passiflora incarnata (Passion Flower) is one of my favorites.
