gas is not a perfectly competive market, so supply and demand has little do with it, at least not on the part of the end consumer...every day folks like you and me. If it were a perfectly competive market, gas would be produced at a level to match demand, however because of OPSEC and the rationing of oil in order to price gauge, SUVs/Trucks and their gas guzzling has little do with gas prices.
