AS LONG AS YOUR PROTEIN INTAKE IS ENOUGH

arnold schwarznegger also says in his modern encyclopedia of bodybuilding that you should be aiming for "45-60mins of steady cardio" at least 5 times per week.

cardio is villanised way too much in my opinion. HIIT is also good agreed, but a recent study showed steady state moderate cardio overall is around 5 times more effective than HIIT for fat burning.

Burn The Fat Blog: "Steady State Cardio 5 X More Effective Than HIIT????"

he said he wants to get cut, by the sounds of it he wants to be ripped, as in get his body fat into the single digits, if thats the case, then that amount of cardio is NOT exessive. just make sure your calories are in check and you still lifting and you will maintain the muscle.
The only reason bodybuilders do so much cardio is so they can lose a huge amount in a small time. But what youre not taking into consideration is theyre loaded to the gills with steroids so theyre muscle loss is minimal. The average person doesnt need to do this. Lifting heavy weights 4x a week and doing cardio on a couple of the off days is more than plenty to lean up. Its 80% diet.
