It depends on your routine, how you lift, how often you lift and how heavy you lift...

Using myself as an example:
I include rear delt work, regardless of my intense and heavy back work.

However, I do Back/Legs/Biceps on Mon & Thur and Chest/Shoulders/Triceps on Tue & Fri,
so I have to schedule rear delts with back days.

As you know, the rear delts are heavily involved in rows, pulls, etc and they are hardly at all involved what so ever in overhead presses. So to make sure my delts dont get overtrained I include rear delt work on back days as it wouldnt make sense to work them on Monday with my back work and then overtrain them the next day by working them again with shoulders.
