Has anyone else ever had this type of shoulder issue?
A couple of weeks ago I was doing standing dumbbell curls with enough weight where I would get about 4 to 6 reps, and towards the fifth or sixth rep my right shoulder popped. I immediately loss strength in that arm and it was too painful to even curl a fifteen-pound dumbbell. That night it was painful just to lift my arm above my head, and when I would lower my arm my shoulder would catch and then pop, which really hurt. This went on for the next few days, and when it was time to work out my chest, triceps and shoulders, I was able to do bench press with no pain, but it was impossible to do incline or military press. A week later I went to the doctor, and after he hurt my shoulder more, he wasn’t sure what it was. Maybe a torn or stretched ligament. Has anyone else had this type of injury where it is painful to lift you’re arm above you’re head and it pops when you lower it. Bench pressing and curls do not hurt the injury.
