I agree kt. While I was watching the movie I realized that there was definitely some religious concept driving forth the ideas explained in this movie. They only mention God about two times if I'm not mistaken. Anyhow, what I got from the movie was what I had already known from having read certain books and such, and that is: T--->F--->A---R.
In other words:
Thoughts lead to Feelings.
Feelings lead to Actions.
Actions lead to Results
It's always been known that it's better to think positive rather than negative. That's basic and pretty common sense. I think a big concept they failed emphasize was the action step. Without action, there will be no results. You can't simply create goals and think positive to then expect results. The thought process is just where it starts, and I think it's imperative that everyone be focused, determined and positive but moreover, be willing to take action. So yes Spinman, in a sense, it is about self-motivation and positive thinking. Unfortunately, many have neither and I think that was one of the purposes for the development of "The Secret".
Simply envisioning will not bring upon results--that's what I feel "The Secret" movie doesn't stress enough.
