I think its fantastic that you're giving biolife regardless of the reason. I donate blood as often as possible for the simple fact that I know they need it.

As somebody who is into bodybuilding and working out, you may impede a percentage of your results by giving up plasma unless you've scheduled it intelligently. Blood plasma is responsible for your immune system as well as hormone communication and transfer. Both of these factors play intense rolls in your body's ablity to grow with mass and strength as well as signaling fat loss.

Plasma is replenished quickly. As much as an ounce every two hours. That is A LOT. The problem though is that you're also losing blood. To get FFP, you draw your blood and then literally spin it in a machine until it seperates the plasma from the actual white/red cells.

I don't know when you are getting your blood drawn in comparison to your workout schedule, but I would highly suggest you do it at the beginning of your weekend when you are (presumebly) at the lightest portion of your workout week if you workout at all on weekends.

Drink plenty of water and eat your protein.
