In general more sets equals less gains. A drop set is just causing undue stress on your central nervous system, and fires no more motor units than doing a set with a weight of at least 80% of 1 rep max. Over my years of experience, I've learned doing less sets with heavier weight in the rep range of 1 to 5 yields the best results. To many sets and all your doing is spelling O-V-E-R T-R-A-I-N-I-N-G, or at the least over reaching. Of course it doesnt hurt to do a drop set now and then to give a little shock, but it should most definately not be incorporated into any kind of frequency.
