not to sure about faster gains with drop sets. This has more to do with diet, genetics, intensity in the gym, and rest.

The basics for gaining good muscle has not changed in those ten years. Push yourself, eat good, get plenty of rest. This is the fomula for reaching your goals.

Drop sets are okay, but don't develop your workout around them.
