On occassion. I'm experiencing nice growth without going to that extreme right now. My knee has had quite a bit of damage over the years, so risking it to know my 1RM on squats isn't a big thing to me - if I can't stand, I can't work.
But if you're wondering, the last few weeks haven't been anywhere near all out. Supersetting makes it much harder, but without those sets, I could do much more weight.
