Default Working Out Before Bed...

Just wanted to post a quick question about something that has been bugging me.

I have night class twice a week... right after work. So I am usually able to make it to the gym by about 9:00pm - 9:30pm. Which means I finish up by about 11:00pm - 11:15pm. I get home and eat, and shortly after, I head to bed.

Now I know its important to eat after your workout and have some sort of carbs. I also know that its important to eat just before bed (protein). How terrible is it for me to be eating carbs in my post-workout meal if I am only sleeping shortly after ?

During my cutting phases I try and eat my carbs more towards the morning/afternoon, but its a necessity to have carbs after I workout. I feel this is counter-productive.

Should I give up late night workouts in sight of my current cutting routine ?

As always, any help is appreciated.

Thank you,
R
