the way ive been using it in fear of getting immune to it is 1.5-2 months and then I take ambien for a month or few weeks...
|
I've taken Ambien only two times but it's been awesome so far. As far as melatonin, I really can't stand it anymore. I've lowered the dosage to the point that if I lower it any more fron this point, I won't be taking any. I still wake up groggy the next morning but one thing I will admit, is that when I DO finally get up after 20 min. of trying to roll my butt off the bed, I do feel very energized like most people claim you'll feel after a "melatonin night".

I'd rather find something not so addictive like ambien is rumored to be (I wouldnt say I am addicted) but melatonin I would imagine, like I have read and has been stated above, can get immuned to it.

Many prescribed medications have some VERY addictive properties to them. Some more than others and I'm not sure if Ambien falls into this category but for example, one prescribed med I DO know has VERY addictive properties is Zoloft. I believe Zoloft is an anti-depressant if I'm not mistaken but yes, I do agree with your mentality on trying to not getting hooked on the Ambien. I personally only take it once a week on a night that I know I'm going to be heading to bed @ about 10 or 11 PM the latest. Other than that, I supplement myself with a complex that contains a blend of valerian, chamomile, and passion flower. The serving size is 3 tabs but 2 tabs deliver 150 mg of valerian root extract, which contains a guaranteed 0.8% valerenic acid level along with chamomile and Passion Flower. I began taking it back when (about 2 months ago) every day for a while and as of now, I take it maybe 3-4 days out of the week. I had a big time problem with getting my sleep patterns back on track due to some unfortunate and self-imposed circumstances and this helped me greatly. I find myself taking it sometimes when I feel I don't even really need it but it has certainly helped me out a lot.

Cammo - I have tried the relexation tapes and sounds... Tried the eye patch thing, I do take magnesium as well and I actually warm up a glass of milk (i know im a baby lol) it doesn't seem to help by itsellf.

The warm glass of milk is actually a good idea. It's been said (and I believe scientifically proven) that a warm glass of milk helps the production of melatonin (did I get that right? Feel free to correct me anyone!

)
I, myself, drink a fat glass of cold chocolate soy milk before I take my sleep complex and it does me some good. I hope this helped you virus my man.
