I've been taking it for about 6-7 months now.. Its hard to say how effective it has been.. It doesnt help me too much, it kinda sets the mood for sleep. So, if you dont relax it wont do anytihng IMO. Example, I can take 3grams, but if I'm doing HW, I wont feel it. But if I am lying down, I'll be asleep within 1 hour.
I dont think its lost any effectiveness, but I dont take it everynight, usually 3-5 times a week. I have problems getting to sleep.. Although, I feel especially tired in the morning with anything over 1gram.. Even after 8-9 hours of sleep.
All in all I'd rate it a 8/10, although, I havnt tried many other sleep aids.
