If anyone is wondering how to do these in a commercial gym, just take the stretching stick (as i like to call it, most gyms have a simple broom rod that is used to stretch and warm up) and do a few sets with it. Set the pins very high, to the point where where you can just about quarter squat with your arms locked out in the over head position. In turn, set the power rack safety bars to just about 4 inches below your deepest position in the squat. I did them like this for ages, no need to worry about about getting pinned this way, or douching your head with the bar.
