To answer your question, you get stretch marks when the skin stretches - too much mass, too quickly under the skin & the skin doesn't have time to adjust.
It's like getting a shopping bag & stretching it - it thins out at certain places & won't go back into shape.
You don't get stretch marks from loss of fat or mass in an area - it's the complete opposite.
You also can't really get rid of stretch marks, you can help disguise them though.
