I am w/ Ron on this! I too am 44 and reach a peak of almost 200 two years ago. Mind you I am 5'10 and never weighed more then 150 all through my 30's. Same thing as you I just ate poorly and watched the TV. Diet is 80% of the work and requires tremendous dedication and discipline. You have been great advice so far. As for you "handicap", don't let it stop you. Find a way to work around it. Talk to phsical therapists to learn how to strengthen your 'weakness'. We all have some sort of road block/handicap. Age, injury, ignorance, etc. Just work on it and YOU will see changes. Remember, you did not get this way overnight so don't think your changes will be rapid. It will take some time. I have lost 19 pounds in 2 years. Welcome and good luck!
