This can be frustrating...believe me, dont you think we've all been there....here you are benching lets say 280lbs and you look over your shoulder and another dude benching 350lbs.I know it can suck at first but again thats a 17 year old mentality....meaning once you progress through the years of trial and error (and believe me you'll have some errors) you'll begin to realize that its not about how much weight you move its about technique and proper lifting to properly stimulate the muscles you want. If you try and bench more than you supporting muscles can handle for instance; you'll look like a unbalanced dumbass.....focus on yourself and eating right...lifting right...and sleeping right... not on your buddy who can out lift you. Everyone can grow in size and strengh this is a scientific fact thats undisputeable (for the normal human being), you just have to keep trying...if one diet doesnt work than go to the next one (make sure you give it time to work - at least 21-28 days), if one lifting routine is not good go to the next..and so on. Ask any member on here how many times we've changed our diet or our lifting routine and watch the numbers FLY!....keep at it and good luck
