Actually, it isn't a benzo. It may have a benzene component (Flexeril=Cyclo
BENZaprine), but it has a totally different mechanism of action in the body. It is more closely related to the Tricyclic Antidepressants (especially Elavil) and it isn't really addictive. It does cause sedation, but it isn't euphoric or anxiolytic. An overdose of Flexeril isn't anything like a benzo overdose. Flexeril overdoses involve heart issues (arrythmia/ conduction disorders/ heart block) and not so much respiratory/ CNS depression which is the case with benzos. Probably a more dangerous drug than benzos really in terms of possible sides...
