what the hell is that? what results are you getting if your numbers are not growing? is there no progression? How can you measure results? Please don't say "by how I feel". Blah.

then why lift? getting higher numbers means progress. If you are not increasing weight, you are not getting overload and you are not growing. Lifting for maintenance is a cop out for someone who is not improving.

"big weight" or "huge numbers" is relative...relative to the lifter. Big to one is small to another that is outrageous to the other. Constant progression by means of adding weight to the bar means actual progress, increased strength and growth. If those are not goals...then why lift? Even if you lift to "stay in shape" you will see some gains, some fat loss, some growth in strength etc. Not everyone needs to be a monster, I know, but everyone needs to lift with the goal of progression.

Not all that was at you bro, just words of information

Sorry you had to write all that because you misunderstood what I said. You let the keyboard rest a little bit now because I'm gonna rephrase myself.

Everything you just said, I believe the same thing. I don't lift for high reps or anything like that. If you knew anything you'd know that the program I'm on is in the 8-12 rep range and like any other heavy lifting program, you progress on your lifts one way or another.

The goal of progression is an obvious one and you don't even need common sense to know that that's what you're after when you're lifting. I've been progressing quite well if I do say so myself. I lift for weight but I'm a person that focuses more on form than the weight rather which would relate to "how I feel" part that you find so humorous...Once I feel that the weight I'm pushing is feeling a bit light and by the 8th rep, I can pump out 4 more to get 12 without trying too hard: UP goes the weight.

.:retarded voice:. ProGrEsSiON! i GEt IT I GeT iT!!!

Sorry if you misunderstood me. I'm with you on the progression thing though. Shouldn't everyone be?
