It gets to be 900 calories if you use milk instead of water.

My thoughts on using that as postworkout, yes, its too many calories, plus you are using milk. You dont want your digestive system being bogged down with lots of calories at the crucial time of post workout. It will spend a lot of energy trying to digest the intake instead of replenishing itself. Plus, you dont want to use milk for post workout.

You do need liquids and quick digesting protein like whey and quick absorbing carbs like dextrose, vitargo for your post-workout. You want to replenish your body's glycogen levels quickly after post workout and the above combo of whey/fast carbs is the way to do that.
