I dont think it is the fault of the military wives...meaning I dont think you want to be left alone for months - sometimes years at a time. I think military wives are like any wife - THEY SUPPORT THIER HUSBAND, and stand by his side - THROUGH THICK AND THIN. I went to the police academy in June'05 and was gone until October 23rd'05 basically 5-6 months. During this time my daughter was born (in July'05). I got to come home and see them both for three days then it was back to the academy........but regardless my wife supported me through it all. She knows I needed her to be there for me, and even though she just gave birth to our daughter - she never let me down...she always was there to listen about my gripes about the ****ty academy. So more power to you military wives who instead of going 5-6 months - go 1-2 years sometimes - you deserve the respect.....
