I think that what will make or break this system is the maturity of board members. It works fine over at AM, but at bodybuilding.com it's kinda gay. Look at the two member bases you're dealing with between those two boards though, one tends to be mature and educated and the other tends to be, well, bodybuilding.com. One thing that's kinda nice however is that this will deter members from posting just for the sake of posting as there's really no point to it. Of course you could have both a post count and a reputation meter. That way if someone has something like 1500 posts but their reputation is static it kind of gives another comparison to the rest of the member base as opposed to simple rep meter.
