Even if this was true (which I highly doubt), the "repair" part can take up to a week or more, and I'm sure the vast majority of us work each body part at least once a week. Also depends on what one defines "used" as. Most muscles get a healthy amount of blood flow through circulation during normal daily acitvity (i.e.; walking around, carrying grocery bags, etc.) sufficient to maintain the vast majority of accumulated myofibrils for several weeks. Just about anyone who's come off a two or three week lay off from lifting can testify to this; they are either just as strong or slightly stronger when they start back up.
