I think I figured out what was going wrong. For one thing I have'nt been eating enough. I thought I was, but when I added up the cals I was consuming for a couple days, it was only about 2400-2500. I should be eating at least 3000 cals a day. I also tried warming up before squating today. I only did about 3 min. on the bike, but when I squated, no pain in the hams. I got 265x8, still difficult and a little tender when I got done, but back on track. I guess at my age (gonna be 36 next month) I should start doing some warmups before I start lifting...
