Yeah I understand the busy schedule thing. Best thing she can do for that, with your help of course, is to plan all meals ahead (as feasibly as possible anyway) and if you guys can, prepare them beforehand so they are always ready. You can't do this with everything though.

As for her caloric intake, it really depends on what she does everyday. If she's more sedentary, her intake will be on the low side (but never, ever less than 1200 cals a day). If she's very active, then it'll be higher. For myself, I require like 2400 cals a day due to my activity level. But, I eat less (like around 1800 or so), so I am burning more than I'm taking in, which of course results in weight loss...well...usually anyway. lol So that's why I suggested The Fitness Hub. Once she sees what her requirements are, then you guys can work on a meal plan. I know its frustrating. I didn't really like the idea of counting calories when I first started, but after seeing the results I didn't mind it so much anymore.
