I am new here as well. Some of the best help that I got when I started 15 months ago was from Muscle & fitness magazine. It helped me lose 40lbs and gain alot of muscle. I went from a 41" waist to a 33". I feel better and I am more excited about fitness than ever before.
I would also recommend a trainer if you have access to one. That really helped me with my workouts and how to do them the right way.
