Carbs are essential bro. I was trying to bulk up without them and failed miserably. Whole grains are the way to go. Whey is important, but I really only take it after working out. Bread is just fine as long as it is whole grain. Hell, I don't even watch my diet as closely right now because I am trying to really bulk up...have some cheat foods (bad foods/ fast food) from time to time just don't make an everyday thing of it. Once a week is fine. I wouldn't really worry about fat too much at your weight. You probably could stand to gain a few pounds of straight fat...might make you look healthier...I was way too thin for a while and I thought I was looking good, but didn't start getting compliments until I had put on a little fat as well as muscle. Bottom line: Eat a ****LOAD of food every two hours or so, lift heavy weights with low reps, and sleep 8+ hrs per day.
