im dealing with the same thing. Ive always used a barbell for almost every exercise and my left bicep and chest is weaker than the right. Ive stopped using barbells and one strictly to dumbell. If my left arm cant get it, i just dont get that rep. Esp if you are alternating arms on curls, i would start with the weaker one so if u cant get a rep on the weaker arm, dont try with the stronger one. My left arm is starting to catch up. Its not there yet but this method is working FOR ME.
