depends if you are training for a specific sport or not. are you?
Too much cardio can put your body into an atrophic/catabolic progression(muscle degradation). But it is pretty hard to do this. ive only ever heard of anorexic(sp)/bulemic people do this to themselves.

see , what happens is your body will use fat reserves first to supply the energy. If you run out of it, your body goes to the muscles to break them down for energy. You dont want your body using muscle cells to supply energy. you want the muscle to use the supplied energy from fats.
