By this I mean that it should most definately be easier for a 200 pounder to bench 250 rather than 140 pounder doing the same. Bodyweight gives such an advantage. Bigger guys like you don't want to admit it, but it is a proven fact. So give us little guys credit when we are benching 50 pounds more than what we weigh. That is a great accomplishment.

So you are telling me a 450lb obese guy should easily do 350lbs on the bench? no way. Body weight has nothing to do with your strength directly.
It is based on your bodies design. Some bodies are designed to push things better than others. Some are designed to pull things better.
sue, if you are in shape and have been lifting for a few years, the guy that weighs 200 and is 6'ft should be able to do more than the guy that is 180 and 6'ft. but, still I have a friend who is 6'2" like me weighs 200 lbs, and can do 345. Now, at the point to where i weighed 10 more lbs, could i do 120 more lbs on bench? no way. It's all your bodies design. Weight is no way a direct factor to how much you can lift in any given excercise.
