Walmart pays minimum wage. If you want more than minimum wage, then you should be worth more than minimum wage. Walmart also sells products much cheaper than anyone else which means more people in the towns now can afford to buy more stuff with their money.
Now, if walmart was buying local stores and closing them, then yes it would be an issue. But if they are offering jobs for unqualified people and offering products at a discount price for the population, then god bless them.
No one is forced to work there, and no one is forced to buy from them.
