I understand your reasoning. For that matter I would strongly suggest to keep your reps 8-12 reps. This is aimed towards muscle mass rather than strength and see what happens. If you feel that 3 workouts are too much cut it down to 2 a week. Do not be afraid to cut back.
try that- sometimes less is better!
