Default Leg Excercises with a Herniated Lower Back Disc

Hi Gang!

Newbie here... great site!.. just wanted to get your thoughts regarding the best excercises for regaining size & strength in my legs (ie - lost a full inch of my upper legs ).

I have had on and off problems with my lower back for the last 20 years but last Feb. it was the worst (had to be taken to emergency via ambulance!).

Since then I have not done any liftin and I would like to get goin again... any ideas would be great!

Well squats are out
Lots of leg press machine, leg extensions, leg curls. ANything that will have some sort of stabilizer for your back and hep to isolate your legs. Lunges might even work.
