Default Sharing an approach past 40...okay past 44.

Sharing an approach:

I am 44, 175, 6' tall and an endurance athlete. I'm currently taking 400mg DHEA, and Tribulus w/lots of antioxidants - Lipoic Acid, CoQ10, plenty of multivitamins etc. I take BCCA's, Arginine, Lysine on workout days. Post workout I usually do Glutamine, and Whey Protein. At night I take ZMA, and have started 6-OXO and 5-HTP.

I lift 2-3 times a week and do serious cardio/endurance work 3-4 times a week. I don't lift for super bulk because I need to be toned but not tight.

My lifting goal is to gain strength and explosiveness, keep my speed up and build muscle. I attribute a real feeling of wellbeing to the DHEA, I had never done any kind of test booster...but there's a feeling of confidence that I have back. I tried the Pregnenolone but I think I like the straight DHEA.

I'm also a vegetarian, although I have to say since starting to lift again I'm drawn to chicken burritos like never before.

I'm going to get some baseline pics up soon and keep a log.

Anyone else with similar supplement experiences?

Hey Spiderman,

Just want to know how long you have been on DJEA at that dosage ? What I have read is that you shouldn't do more than 100mg per day. Have you gotten any sides from this ?

if you are doing 6-OXO, I would drop the DHEA (which you are taking an extremely high dose). More is not always better!

I would still do DHEA, but drop down to like 50mg-100mg. I did a stack of 6 OXO, trib, DHEA, creatine and loved it. You should benefit from that stack and after a month show a 5-8 pound solid gain if you eat right.
You know to cycle on and off this stack right? I do one month on and six weeks off or so. I went to Rebound Reloaded/Powerfull/DHEA this time around and will see how it compares.

I'm loving the combination of DHEA and 6-oxo. I did drop to 200mg DHEA since picking up the oxo. I feel great, good energy, sleeping well...so no complaints. When I cycle off should I just drop the DHEA? I've read about oxo being good post cycle. At 44 I really feel these amounts are necessary, from my experience, and certainly no sides. I've read about people doing huge amounts of DHEA and getting headaches and acne, I've had none of that.
