Oh man do I hear you! That is how I have to do my squats, but I injured my left shoulder somehow early this spring and had to go lighter on my squats...drove me nuts so I do some weeks with DBs other weeks with the BB. The next piece of equipment I need is a squat rack.
(Been trying to get the hubby to just build me two saw horses at the correct height for me to rest my bar ... he's been so grumpy about my training of late that he 'doesn't hear' my request.)
I started out years ago with just dumbbells. Then a friend moved and gave me her bench and barbell set. I've been adding equipment ever since!
I have a small homegym with my lat tower now...so the back is coming along better. Hammies and quads have been no problem, but they have always been one of my stonger areas. I used to have an awesome back from all the years of farm and stable work. Lost it when I get so sick with the lyme disease.

Always a creation in the making aren't we?!
